In a strategic push for Maharashtra's upcoming assembly elections, National Congress Party-SCP chief Sharad Pawar has stressed the need for an expedited decision on seat-sharing talks within the Maha Vikas Aghadi. Despite his non-participation in these discussions, Pawar highlighted their criticality.

Addressing a press conference, Pawar noted, "I am not participating in the seat-sharing discussions, so it will not be right for me to say anything on that subject. Jayant Patil is present on our behalf in those meetings, he will speak on this subject." He emphasized the significance of a timely resolution, reflecting public demand for change.

Pawar also clarified that the Maha Vikas Aghadi remained unified during the Lok Sabha elections, despite a minor conflict in Sangli. Dismissing the schism as localized, he reassured joint discourse continues for the upcoming polls. He further weighed in on Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar's rumored electoral decisions.
