In an alarming escalation of political violence, former Lok Sabha MP and BJP leader Arjun Singh reported that his office-cum-residence was assailed by a group using stones, bombs, and gunfire in North 24 Parganas, West Bengal.
Singh claimed the attack was orchestrated under the protection of Namit Singh, associated with the local AITC, while police reportedly did not intervene. He shared a video accusing attackers of openly brandishing firearms, stating that around 15 bombs were thrown.
Authorities have not verified the video, with police officials confirming no injuries and an ongoing investigation. Local political figures dispute Singh's account, attributing the unrest to internal conflicts unrelated to their party.
