Tamil Nadu Law Minister S Regupathy alleged on Wednesday that RN Ravi, the Governor, is functioning like a politician rather than a governor.

The Minister accused Ravi of turning Raj Bhavan into a 'political bhavan,' suggesting it now rivals the state BJP headquarters. According to Regupathy, a governor should foster positive relations between the Centre and the state, but Ravi's actions are causing divisions.

He controversially claimed that Ravi is behaving like a 'brand ambassador for online rummy' and a 'PRO for NEET.' Responding to Ravi's recent criticism over finding 'liquor bottles' in the Gandhi mandapam premises, Regupathy defended the government's commitment to cleanliness. He asserted the area is regularly maintained and the government prioritizes public cleanliness.

Touching on the prohibition policy, Regupathy highlighted the Chief Minister M K Stalin-led government's stance on liquor ban, calling for a national policy to effectively address the issue. In conclusion, he noted that the Governor's expectations may not align with the sentiments of the people in Tamil Nadu.
