In a fervent call to Haryana voters, the Congress on Wednesday urged the public to oust the BJP in the upcoming October 5 elections, framing the contest as a fight against 'injustice and untruth.'

Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of being a leader who breaks trust and is adept at spreading falsehoods. At a rally in Badhra, Kharge emphasized the BJP's failure to honor past commitments, including demands for debt waivers and legal guarantees on MSP from farmers. He also invoked Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri's teachings on truth and non-violence.

Meanwhile, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra highlighted issues such as employment, the Agniveer military recruitment scheme, and farmers' welfare. She called on citizens to stand against the ruling party's 'betrayal' at every stage. Rahul Gandhi also shared a video highlighting the structural support needed for sportspersons. Congress is contesting 89 out of 90 assembly seats, with high hopes of a resurgence in Haryana.
