On Wednesday, BJD president and Leader of Opposition in Odisha Assembly, Naveen Patnaik, alleged that the BJP rose to power in the state by making false promises and misleading the electorate.
Speaking at the BJD's annual 'Jan Sampark Yatra' in the state capital, the former chief minister listed unfulfilled promises made by the BJP during the assembly polls, including free electricity and social security pensions. Patnaik also questioned the BJP's failure to deliver on their commitment to provide financial assistance under the Subhadra Yojana.
Highlighting rising prices of essential commodities and a recent case of sexual assault at a police station, Patnaik criticized the BJP's governance, asserting that public trust had been eroded. He emphasized BJD's legacy of service and development, and vowed to continue working for the people of Odisha, spotlighting the state's progress under BJD rule.
