Modi Unveils Rs 83,700 Crore Development Projects in Jharkhand
Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced development projects worth over Rs 83,700 crore in Jharkhand, focusing on tribal development. The Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan initiative will ensure holistic progress for tribal communities. Various infrastructure projects were also launched, aiming to uplift over 5 crore tribals across 30 states.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday unveiled development projects worth over Rs 83,700 crore in Jharkhand, reaffirming his government's commitment to the state's progress. He emphasised the importance of tribal development, stating that Mahatma Gandhi's vision for this demographic is 'our asset.'
Modi launched the Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan, costing Rs 79,150 crore, aimed at comprehensive and holistic development for tribal communities. 'Mahatma Gandhi's vision for tribal development is our asset,' he declared, adding that the BJP government prioritizes tribal development with Rs 80,000 crore allocated to develop 65,000 tribal villages.
In addition to launching various projects under PM Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan (PM-JANMAN) valued at over Rs 1,360 crore, Modi announced the electrification of over 75,800 tribal households. Notable attendees included Union Ministers Jual Oram, Annapurna Devi, and Sanjay Seth, besides Jharkhand Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar.
