The BJP on Tuesday criticized the Congress for allegedly stoking tensions in Manipur, urging the opposition party to collaborate in resolving the state's ongoing issues.

This statement followed accusations from Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had the time to speak with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu but had not addressed Manipur's lawmakers or political leaders.

In response, BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad questioned whether Ramesh supported Modi's anti-terrorism stance, calling for Congress to expand its focus beyond Manipur and align on national security issues.

Prasad further criticized Congress' silence on issues like Article 370 and terrorism, suggesting that focusing solely on Manipur without addressing other national concerns is misguided.

Ramesh retorted on social media, questioning why Modi, who he termed a 'non-biological PM,' has not addressed Manipur leaders despite travelling globally and engaging in international diplomacy.
