Prashant Kishor, a political strategist-turned-activist, emphasized the clear message sent by the recent Lok Sabha polls against arrogance in leadership. Speaking on the eve of launching his political party, Kishor highlighted that the results have positively impacted Rahul Gandhi's leadership of the Congress but noted that Gandhi still faces challenges to gain nationwide acceptance.
'His supporters now believe that the Congress can be revived under him. However, has the country accepted him as a leader? I don't think so,' Kishor remarked. He also pointed out that arrogance and overconfidence in any party, whether BJP or Congress, would not be tolerated by the public.
Kishor criticized the BJP's assumption that votes would be cast unquestionably in Modi's name. He indicated that voters have shown they are not easily swayed by party claims without considering their performance. Kishor committed to working on improving Bihar's socio-economic conditions, signaling a departure from his previous career as a political consultant.
