YSRCP Rajya Sabha MP Vijayasai Reddy V, on Tuesday, sharply criticized Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for allegedly spreading 'misinformation' regarding the Tirupati Prasadam controversy. Reddy stated that such actions without conclusive proof could lead to legal consequences under multiple laws.

In a post on platform X, Vijayasai Reddy expressed that the Andhra CM has committed a severe mistake by propagating false claims about the Sri Venkateswara temple prasadam. He termed it the 'beginning of the end' of Naidu's political career and highlighted the potential punishments under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and cyber laws.

Reddy underscored that any restriction on speech must adhere to constitutional safeguards, making the Chief Minister responsible for misinformation. Meanwhile, the Supreme Court questioned Naidu's public allegations about the use of adulterated ghee in the temple prasadam, stating there was 'no conclusive proof' and postponed the investigation by the SIT until October 3.
