Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky will stay in the cabinet despite his party's decision to leave the government, Prime Minister Petr Fiala confirmed on Tuesday.

Fiala met with Lipavsky after the liberal Pirate Party announced its departure from the government following the dismissal of its outgoing leader, Ivan Bartos, from his role as development minister. Despite the Pirates' exit, Fiala's government will maintain its majority.

The Prime Minister reassured the country that the stability of the government remains unaffected by the political shifts.
