MUDA Scandal: BJP Demands Karnataka CM's Resignation, Comparisons To Watergate

BJP spokesperson CR Kesavan called for Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah's resignation over the MUDA land scam, likening it to Watergate. Siddaramaiah’s wife recently surrendered the contentious plots, escalating doubts and accusations of political vendetta. BJP spokesperson CR Kesavan has demanded Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's resignation, comparing the ongoing MUDA land scam to the infamous Watergate scandal. Kesavan stressed that the alleged involvement of the CM and his immediate family has brought the government's administration to a standstill.

Speaking to ANI, Kesavan questioned the Chief Minister's integrity, citing inconsistencies in statements related to his wife's recent surrender of 14 controversial land plots. While CM Siddaramaiah had previously claimed needing Rs 62 crore in compensation for returning the plots, his wife's unexpected decision to return them unconditionally has led to heightened suspicions.

Taking to social media platform X, Siddaramaiah expressed his distress over his wife's suffering due to what he described as a political conspiracy. He criticized opposition parties for dragging his family into the political fray and reiterated his commitment to fight against what he termed 'political vendetta' aimed at defaming him.
