Former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister and AAP leader Manish Sisodia announced on Tuesday that Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has promised to eradicate potholes from Delhi's roads. Sisodia accused the BJP of mismanaging road infrastructure.
"Arvind Kejriwal has pledged to make Delhi pothole-free," said Sisodia. He mentioned that proactive measures are being undertaken, and all MLAs have received clear instructions to address road conditions.
Sisodia blamed the BJP for creating potholes to inconvenience Delhi's residents. "They wanted Arvind Kejriwal jailed, but the people of Delhi will support him," he asserted.
On Monday, Delhi Chief Minister Atishi, along with Sisodia and other AAP leaders, inspected roads across Delhi. Atishi has been tasked with overseeing South and South East Delhi, while other MLAs have been assigned to different regions, including Gopal Rai for North East Delhi and Kailash Gehlot for Outer Delhi.
Former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal also inspected several roads and directed Atishi to prepare a report on the conditions of all PWD roads. He urged immediate repair in an assembly letter, referencing delays from his recent jail term. Kejriwal called for a comprehensive city-wide road assessment, with legislators and ministers to participate in inspections and repairs.
