Hezbollah's acting leader, Naim Kassem, vowed on Monday to continue battling Israel, affirming the militant group's readiness for a prolonged conflict despite the recent death of leader Hassan Nasrallah and other top commanders.
Israeli airstrikes have killed Nasrallah and six high-ranking officials in the past ten days, as well as over 1,000 people, many of whom were women and children, according to the Health Ministry. The onslaught has hit numerous militant targets across Lebanon.
Despite heavy losses, Kassem stated in his first televised appearance since Nasrallah's death that Hezbollah is prepared for an Israeli ground offensive, having already replaced fallen commanders. He emphasized that their military capabilities remain unaffected.
