Delhi Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Saurabh Bharadwaj lashed out at Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena, blaming him for a deteriorating law and order situation in the national capital. Bharadwaj pointed out that crime rates have surged since Saxena's appointment, emphasizing the need for immediate inspections of police stations.

"Saxena's tenure has seen an increase in gang-related activities," said Bharadwaj. He cited recent violent incidents, including the murder of a gym owner in Greater Kailash and multiple extortion calls received by various individuals, including AAP MLAs Sanjiv Jha and Ajay Dutt. Bharadwaj noted that complaints have been filed but no action has been taken by the police.

Bharadwaj also referred to a recent firing incident at a car showroom in Naraina, where the owner was threatened with a Rs 5 crore ransom. He criticized Saxena for his silence on the issue and urged for an urgent meeting to discuss the worsening law and order situation in Delhi. Earlier, Delhi MLAs had also written to the L-G, raising concerns about the increasing demands for extortion by gangsters.
