Senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh has confidently forecasted that his party will secure governments in Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir, signaling a potential countdown to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's exit from the Centre. In an interview with PTI, Ramesh criticized the BJP for using polarization tactics in their election campaigns.
Ramesh argued that this strategy would not sway voters, referencing the BJP's failed attempts in previous Lok Sabha polls. He emphasized that foreign policy has been manipulated for domestic political gains, creating diplomatic issues, particularly with Bangladesh. Ramesh also noted the detrimental impact on the BJP's position from forthcoming assembly poll results in Maharashtra and Jharkhand.
Highlighting Rahul Gandhi's leadership as a 'booster dose' for the INDIA bloc, Ramesh stressed the need for a cohesive agenda within the alliance. The Congress leader remains optimistic about the party's prospects, anticipating further electoral setbacks for BJP. He warned that these developments could destabilize Modi's government, making its position increasingly untenable.
