Tsikhanouskaya Supports ICC Investigation into Belarusian Atrocities

Exiled Belarusian opposition leader Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya endorsed Lithuania's appeal to the International Criminal Court on Monday, urging an investigation into Belarus over forced deportations and other alleged crimes against its citizens.
"The crimes committed by this regime, from forced deportations to illegal arrests and torture, cannot go unpunished. Lithuania's courage gives us hope that the world is finally holding the regime accountable for its atrocities," Tsikhanouskaya declared in a statement.
She revealed that approximately 300,000 Belarusians have been compelled to flee their homeland, with one out of every thirty citizens now living in exile.
