The BJP has strongly criticized Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge for his controversial comments about Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Union Home Minister Amit Shah described Kharge's remarks as 'absolutely distasteful and disgraceful,' highlighting that Modi's election as PM reflects the people's mandate, not Kharge's grace.

Speaking at a rally in Jammu's Kathua district, Kharge asserted he would not die until Modi is ousted from power and promised to fight for Jammu and Kashmir's statehood restoration. Shah responded on social media, accusing Kharge of harboring hate and fear towards Modi.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman echoed Shah's sentiment, criticizing the Congress leadership for their consistent displays of animosity towards Modi. BJP spokesperson Syed Shahnawaz Hussain also criticized Kharge, emphasizing Modi's legitimate mandate and extending well wishes for Kharge's longevity.
