BK Hariprasad, a Karnataka Congress leader, expressed confidence in the INDIA bloc's victory in the upcoming Jammu and Kashmir and Haryana assembly elections, stating, "The INDIA bloc will sweep the J&K and Haryana assembly elections."

The third and final phase of voting will be held on October 1 in Jammu and Kashmir, with vote counting set for October 8. Haryana will hold its polls on October 5 to elect a 90-member state legislative assembly, with counting also taking place on October 8. Addressing allegations against Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah in the MUDA scam, Hariprasad remarked, "Everything is in the court of law, and it will decide — neither HD Kumaraswamy nor Mr. Yediyurappa."

On Sunday, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah asserted that he will not "back down" despite the MUDA scam allegations, stating that his "conscience will not be shaken" as long as he has public support. In response, the BJP accused the Congress of supporting "corrupt" leaders, demanding Siddaramaiah's resignation.

State BJP President criticized Siddaramaiah, saying, "Even as the legal noose tightens, with courts issuing verdicts and orders against you on corruption scams, you and your Congress are 'behaving brazenly'. This will be a permanent black mark in the country's history." Meanwhile, the Lokayukta Police filed an FIR implicating Siddaramaiah and his family in the alleged Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) land allotment scam.

The FIR claims MUDA illegally allocated 14 prime locations in Mysuru city to Siddaramaiah's wife. The Mysuru Lokayukta lodged the FIR under several IPC sections, including 351, 420, 340, 09, and 120B, naming Siddaramaiah, his wife, brother-in-law, and others as accused in the case.
