On the day that Delhi Chief Minister Atishi and other AAP leaders conducted road inspections, the BJP accused them of staging a drama. BJP leader Harish Khurana on Monday said, "AAP leaders, be it Arvind Kejriwal or Atishi, either think that Delhiites are fools or they don't know what is happening. This is an image makeover effort to get rid of the corruption charges. But in the process, they are exposing themselves."
He further stated that Kejriwal's instructions to Atishi for making roads pothole-free overlooked that "when he was in jail, all work in Delhi had stopped." Khurana added, "Delhi is completely ruined; development work in Delhi has been stalled for the last 9.5 years... Certainly, the people of Delhi have made up their minds that the next government that will be formed will be of the Bharatiya Janata Party."
Delhi Chief Minister Atishi, along with other AAP members, including former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and Delhi Minister Gopal Rai, inspected the conditions of roads across the capital as part of the Delhi government's road assessment and repair plan. Various AAP ministers have been assigned responsibility for different areas: Atishi oversees South and South East Delhi; Saurabh Bharadwaj is in charge of East Delhi; Gopal Rai handles North East Delhi; Imran Hussain manages Central and New Delhi; Kailash Gehlot is responsible for South West and Outer Delhi; and Mukesh Shehrawat oversees North West Delhi.
