Union Minister Kumaraswamy Slams Karnataka Govt Over MUDA Scam Allegations

Union Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy offered prayers at Trichy Srirangam Ranganathasamy Temple and criticized the Karnataka government, led by CM Siddaramaiah, over the alleged MUDA scam. Kumaraswamy accused the administration of unethical practices and misuse of power to frame him while diverting attention from development issues.

Union Minister of Heavy Industries H.D. Kumaraswamy on Monday offered prayers at the Trichy Srirangam Ranganathasamy Temple. Addressing media, he spoke on the MUDA scam, saying, 'The matter is now in court. The Court has given its directions. Let's see what develops next.'

On Saturday, Kumaraswamy had criticized the Chief Minister Siddaramaiah-led Karnataka government over the alleged MUDA scam, accusing the administration of engaging in unethical practices. 'The CM and his cabinet are trying to firefight the MUDA scam by filing FIRs and arresting those who oppose them,' he alleged. He also claimed a deliberate plot to implicate him. 'The government has been involved in immoral practices, yet no FIR was filed for 48 hours despite an order for Siddaramaiah's case. This includes conspiracy between the Home Minister and top officials,' he said.

Kumaraswamy further criticized the Congress, stating, 'Congress often accuses the Centre of misusing agencies, but it is the Congress government in Karnataka misusing its power.' He added that while Siddaramaiah claims innocence, there were over 50 cases registered against him in 2019. 'Corruption is rampant in the government, yet no development is discussed. The government is diverting focus from actual issues by involving me and blaming the Prime Minister and Finance Minister,' he concluded.
