Anti-Israel protests continued in Kashmir for the second consecutive day, with multiple regions witnessing significant demonstrations on Sunday. Residents, including men, women, and children, marched with black flags in areas such as Magam in Budgam and Zadibal in Srinagar city to voice their outrage over the killing of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah in Lebanon.
Chanting anti-Israel and anti-US slogans, the protestors denounced Nasrallah's death caused by Israeli airstrikes conducted on Saturday. Despite the heightened emotions, the protests remained largely peaceful under the watchful eye of extensive police personnel deployed to prevent any escalation into violence.
Political leaders across the region condemned the incident. Lok Sabha member Aga Ruhullah and PDP president Mehbooba Mufti both suspended their election campaigns in solidarity with the protestors. In a display of unity, Apni Party president Altaf Bukhari also voiced his condemnation, urging the international community to respond effectively to Israel's ongoing airstrikes and their devastating impact on civilians.
