Union Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president JP Nadda on Sunday criticized the Congress, declaring that the party is synonymous with bad governance, corruption, and criminalization. Nadda accused the Congress of engaging in vote bank politics and claimed that the previous Congress government allowed large industrialists to exploit poor farmers, leading to rampant unemployment and a 'Kharchi, Parchi' job distribution system.

At a public rally in Rohtak, Haryana, Nadda emphasized the progress India is making under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership. He mentioned that when Congress governed Haryana, land scams were prevalent, with the rich usurping lands from poor farmers. Jobs were handed out based on 'Kharchi, Parchi,' leaving intelligent students unemployed.

Nadda stated, 'Congress means bad governance, corruption, and criminalization. They perpetuate divisions among brothers, castes, and society through vote bank politics. This is their modus operandi.' Earlier, Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also criticized Congress and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for broken promises. Singh accused Rahul Gandhi of insulting the nation abroad and urged people to reject both opposition parties, while highlighting India's economic achievements under BJP leadership.

Singh noted, 'India was the 11th largest economy in 2014 and has now become the fifth largest. We're on track to become the third largest economy and a developed nation by 2047.' The Union Cabinet recently approved the 'One Nation, One Election' proposal, which aims to synchronize Lok Sabha and Assembly elections within 100 days. Haryana's 90-member legislative assembly elections will occur on October 5, with votes counted on October 8, alongside those in Jammu and Kashmir.
