In a recent development, the BJP has lashed out at the DMK following the elevation of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin's son, Udayanidhi, to the position of deputy chief minister. Accusations of nepotism and corruption were central to the BJP's critique.
The criticism emerged soon after DMK leader V Senthil Balaji, implicated in a money laundering case, was sworn in as a minister, and Udayanidhi Stalin was named deputy chief minister. BJP national spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla described the move as part of a pattern where family interests are prioritized over national concerns.
Poonawalla extended his criticism to the broader INDIA bloc, which includes the Congress, RJD, and Samajwadi Party, accusing them of similar nepotistic practices. In stark contrast, he lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his dedication to the welfare of the nation's citizens.
