Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge fell ill on Sunday while addressing a public rally in the Jasrota belt of Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua district. He received immediate medical attention and later declared his resolve to live until Prime Minister Narendra Modi is removed from office.

Kharge felt unwell while paying tribute to a head constable killed in an operation against terrorists in Kathua. His colleagues helped him to a chair, and doctors later confirmed he was stable.

Despite the incident, Kharge emphasized the achievements of past Congress prime ministers and reiterated his commitment to the party and its future. He has another rally scheduled in Ramnagar, Udhampur, pending medical advice.
