High-profile DMK leader V Senthil Balaji, who was recently granted bail by the Supreme Court concerning a money laundering case, was officially sworn in as a minister by Tamil Nadu Governor R N Ravi on Sunday.
The ceremony, held at Raj Bhavan, also saw three other DMK legislators—R Rajendran (Salem-North), Govi Chezhiaan (Thiruvidaimarudur), and S M Nasar (Avadi)—taking the oath of office and secrecy. Governor Ravi administered the oaths in a simple yet significant ceremony.
The swearing-in was attended by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin and his son Udhayanidhi Stalin, who had previously been designated as Deputy Chief Minister.
