Congress leader Sachin Pilot on Sunday criticized the BJP's recent 'PoK will be part of Jammu and Kashmir' claim as mere election rhetoric, questioning why the ruling party failed to act on this goal despite having a full majority government for a decade.
Pilot, who has been actively campaigning for the current assembly elections, expressed strong confidence that the Congress would surpass previous records and secure an overwhelming number of seats in Haryana. He also predicted that the Congress-National Conference alliance would form a stable government in Jammu and Kashmir.
In his interview with PTI, Pilot argued that BJP leaders often raise such issues only during election campaigns to divert attention from pressing concerns like agrarian distress, unemployment, and inflation. He emphasized that the Congress's primary focus in J-K would be restoring full statehood, addressing the self-respect and dignity of its people.
