CPI(M) is set to organize a rally in Agartala on October 3 to voice their discontent over the 'misgovernance' by the BJP-led administration in Tripura, stated a party leader on Friday.
Earlier this week, the Congress staged a protest at the office of the Director General of Police (DGP), condemning the declining law and order situation in the northeastern state.
At a press conference, CPI(M) state secretary Jitendra Chaudhury claimed that the state's police force has failed to uphold public safety, citing alarming crime statistics and recent episodes of mob violence.
He emphasized that the people are enduring economic struggles following severe floods, and accused the government of not declaring the disaster on a national scale.
Chaudhury raised further concerns about the mass surrender of insurgents, questioning the authenticity and timing of these surrenders.
