Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, 60, has successfully undergone eye surgery in Thane, as confirmed by officials on Friday.
Following medical advice, Shinde is currently resting, according to a statement from the Chief Minister's Office. This necessitated the cancellation of his scheduled appearances, including an official event in Shirdi related to the Laadki Bahin scheme.
All of the Chief Minister's upcoming programs have been put on hold as he focuses on his recovery.
