Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday accused the Congress, the National Conference, and the PDP of transforming Jammu and Kashmir into a ''warehouse'' of terrorism, stating that Prime Minister Narendra Modi permanently dismantled this ''nursery of terrorism'' by abrogating Article 370.
Addressing a public rally in the Ramgarh border area of Samba district, Adityanath asserted that the BJP, upon forming a government in the Union territory, will establish a state reminiscent of Maharaja Hari Singh's era, whose dominion extended to Kabul.
Adityanath, campaigning for BJP candidates Devender Kumar Manyal and Chander Prakash Ganga contesting from Ramgarh and Vijaypur assembly seats, claimed that the abrogation of Article 370 has ushered in peace, progress, and development in Jammu and Kashmir.
He accused the Congress of weakening Hindus, thereby inciting terrorism in the region. According to Adityanath, terrorism, stone-pelting, and unrest were rampant during the Congress-led governments, but have now ceased under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. He further accused the Congress of perpetuating India's issues of terrorism, casteism, and regionalism.
Taking a jibe at the Congress, Adityanath remarked that the party, synonymous with problems, failed to resolve the Ayodhya issue and indulged in divisive politics. He pledged that the BJP will restore Jammu and Kashmir's glory as it was during Maharaja Hari Singh's time.
