The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) staged a protest on Thursday at the Movie Artist Association (MAA) in Jubilee Hills, Telangana, targeting actor Prakash Raj for his contentious comments regarding the alleged use of animal fat in the Tirupati Laddu Prasadam. The BJYM also submitted a memorandum to the Telugu Film Chamber, urging a ban on Prakash Raj.

Mahesh, BJYM state vice president, expressed the group's stance to ANI: 'Prakash Raj insulted the beliefs of Hindus. He frequently makes offensive comments about Hindus and our deities. We demand that he should not be employed in the film industry. We will block the screening of any film he is involved in across the Telugu states. Our demand also includes a public apology from him to the entire Hindu community.' The controversy gained further traction on September 20, when the Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM called for the establishment of a 'Sanatana Dharma Rakshana Board' at a national level via a post on X.

Pawan Kalyan, addressing the issue on social media platform X, claimed: 'We are all deeply disturbed by the reports of animal fat (fish oil, pork fat, and beef fat) being mixed in the Tirupati Balaji Prasad. Numerous questions need answers from the TTD board established by the YCP government. Our government is committed to taking stringent action. This incident highlights various issues involving temple desecration, property concerns, and other religious practices.' Kalyan suggested the formation of a 'Sanatana Dharma Rakshana Board' to discuss these matters nationally with policymakers, religious leaders, the judiciary, citizens, media, and others.

In response, actor Prakash Raj implored for a more measured approach. 'Dear Pawan Kalyan, it has occurred in a state where you are the Deputy CM. Please investigate, identify the culprits, and take serious action. Why spread apprehensions and escalate the issue nationally? We already have enough communal tensions in the country, thanks to your friends in the Center,' he stated. (ANI)
