Rahul Gandhi has once again taken aim at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accusing him of systematically dismantling the employment system in India. Speaking at a poll rally in Assandh, Haryana, Gandhi conveyed his confidence that Congress would emerge victorious in the October 5 Haryana assembly elections.
Prominent Congress figures, including Kumari Selja, former Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, and state unit chief Udaibhan, were present at the event. Gandhi alleged that the BJP government has 'destroyed' Haryana, partly referencing his recent interactions with Haryana immigrants in the US, who he said left due to lack of job opportunities in their home state.
Gandhi laid out Congress' electoral promises, including a monthly stipend of Rs 2,000 for women, LPG cylinders at Rs 500, filling two lakh vacancies, and guaranteeing minimum support price through legal measures. Haryana's 90 assembly seats will see polling on October 5 with results to be declared on October 8.
