Former Lok Sabha MP Raj Babbar expressed confidence on Thursday that the Congress party is poised to win the Haryana Assembly election, identifying Bhupinder Hooda as the leading candidate for Chief Minister.
Babbar, who previously contested and lost the Lok Sabha elections from Gurgaon, highlighted that the decision on the Chief Ministerial candidate ultimately lies with the party's high command. He noted that while MLAs have a say, the high command makes the final call based on their input.
He further emphasized Hooda's prominence and contributions to the development and welfare of Haryana, indicating Hooda's face as synonymous with Congress in the state. The Haryana Assembly elections are set for October 5th, with results to be announced on October 8th, alongside Jammu and Kashmir.
