The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has achieved a significant milestone, enrolling over one crore members in Madhya Pradesh during the first phase of its membership drive. This phase spanned from September 2 to 25, as reported by a party leader on Thursday.

State BJP chief V D Sharma disclosed that the membership figure in the initial phase reached 1,00,81,432. The next phase is set to commence on October 1 and will run until October 15.

Media Chief Ashish Agrawal highlighted that Madhya Pradesh is now the second state to surpass the one crore-member benchmark, following Uttar Pradesh, where 1.25 crore members have been registered. Agrawal pointed out that the BJP aims to register 1.50 crore members in Madhya Pradesh.
