People's Democratic Party (PDP) chief Mehbooba Mufti asserted on Tuesday that the next government in Jammu and Kashmir will be secular and cannot be formed without PDP's backing.
Responding to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's comments about the 'three families,' Mufti emphasized that it was her father, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, who upheld India's sovereignty in Kashmir during critical times.
Addressing a poll rally in Jammu, she criticized BJP leaders for opposing the PDP and accused them of making empty promises. Mufti further questioned the BJP's governance record and alleged discrimination against local leadership in Jammu.
