Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday called on BJP workers and leaders to boost voter turnout at each polling booth by at least 10 per cent for the upcoming Maharashtra assembly elections.

Addressing a gathering in Nagpur, Shah emphasized collaboration with the ruling Mahayuti alliance partners. He also announced the impending passage of the Waqf (Amendment) Bill, 2024, aimed at improving the management and preservation of Waqf properties.

During his two-day visit to Maharashtra, Shah met with key office-bearers from all 62 Vidarbha region constituencies, highlighting the importance of the region in BJP's electoral strategy. He linked the party's resolve to a series of achievements under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, including the abrogation of Article 370 and the construction of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.
