Vice President Kamala Harris holds a seven-point lead over Republican Donald Trump in the latest Reuters/Ipsos poll for the November 5 U.S. presidential election. Harris, backed by 46.61% of voters, appears to have weakened Trump's perceived advantage on economic issues.

The poll, published on Tuesday, shows Harris with a six-point lead over Trump, who secured 40.48% support among those surveyed. This is an improvement from Harris's five-point advantage in a similar poll conducted in September.

The poll surveyed 1,029 U.S. adults nationwide, including 871 registered voters and 785 likely to vote on Election Day. Harris's lead is slightly higher among likely voters, with a 50% to 44% advantage over Trump.
