Bihar Minister Ashok Choudhary on Tuesday minimized the controversy caused by his recent social media post, which had led to speculation about a possible jibe at Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
Choudhary, an aide to JD(U) supremo Nitish Kumar, met with Kumar and shared a photo of them together, accompanied by a caption from a 1972 film song: 'Kuch to log kehnge, logo ka kam hai kehna.' The minister asserted the personal nature of his post, unrelated to politics.
Having joined JD(U) six years ago after quitting Congress, Choudhary faced backlash over a poem he posted early morning. The poem, discussing the experiences of growing older and emphasizing the notion to 'leave' certain situations, was interpreted by some to target the 73-year-old CM Nitish Kumar. However, Choudhary defended his respect for the CM.
