AIMIM's Tiranga rally, spearheaded by former MP Imtiaz Jaleel, has returned to Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar after being denied entry into Mumbai by Thane police on Monday night. The rally demands the arrest of BJP legislators Nitesh Rane and Ramgiri Maharaj for their inflammatory comments against the Muslim community.
Jaleel criticized the state's inaction despite multiple FIRs lodged against Rane and Maharaj, accusing the Mahayuti government of seeking to incite Hindu-Muslim violence for electoral gain.
Former Union Minister Sharad Pawar also condemned the remarks, expressing dismay over the divisive rhetoric used by younger politicians, including Nitesh Rane and Ramgiri Maharaj, and stressed the importance of unity among different religious communities.
