UN Secretary-General António Guterres has issued a stark warning that rising impunity, inequality, and uncertainty are driving the world to a perilous state of unsustainability.
Addressing the General Assembly as leaders, from presidents to monarchs, gathered for the annual debate, Guterres highlighted the increasing geopolitical rifts, endless wars, and escalating climate crisis.
He cautioned that humanity is approaching an 'unimaginable' tipping point, a 'powder keg' that could engulf the globe.
