AIADMK Slams DMK Over Women and Child Safety Failures

On Tuesday, the opposition AIADMK staged a protest in Tamil Nadu, condemning the alleged failure of the DMK government to ensure the safety of women and children over the past three years.
Clad in black sarees, numerous women party members voiced their discontent, led by senior AIADMK leaders including women's wing secretary P Valarmathi and former TN Minister S Gokula Indira. Indira highlighted that the protest aims at advocating for the welfare of girl children and women in the state.
Indira accused DMK Chief M K Stalin of neglecting the state's increasing crimes against women while pursuing foreign trips to attract investments. She also criticized the DMK for withdrawing women-centric schemes such as 'Thaaliku Thangam' initiated during the previous AIADMK regime.
