President Joe Biden is intensifying efforts to negotiate a Gaza ceasefire and a hostage deal with Hamas while also seeking to de-escalate tensions at Israel’s border with Lebanon, revealed White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan on Monday.
Speaking with MSNBC, Sullivan emphasized Biden’s unwavering commitment to the cause. "He absolutely hasn't given up," Sullivan stated, pointing out the numerous challenges but reaffirming their ongoing resolve.
The administration faces obstacles getting both sides to agree, yet persists in their negotiations, determined to reach a resolution.
