Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala announced on Tuesday his plan to dismiss Development Minister Ivan Bartos due to complications in the digitalisation of the state system for issuing building permits.

The expected dismissal, set to occur by the end of September, follows Bartos's declaration of resignation as leader of the Pirate Party after a disappointing performance in regional elections over the weekend. Fiala emphasized that the dismissal is not an expulsion of the Pirate Party from the government and called on them to put forward a new candidate for the ministerial position.
