Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah announced on Tuesday that he remains undeterred by the High Court's dismissal of his petition challenging Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot's approval for an investigation into the alleged Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) scam. Siddaramaiah accused the BJP and JD(S) of conspiring against him and vowed to consult legal experts and ministers on how to proceed.
Addressing a press conference, Siddaramaiah stated that efforts by the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Janata Dal (Secular) to destabilize the Congress government would fail. He expressed confidence in the support of the people, the high command, and party leaders. Siddaramaiah asserted that he stands with the people in this political struggle and remains confident that truth and justice will prevail.
The Karnataka CM accused the BJP of engaging in revenge politics and stressed that his judicial battle against such politics would continue. He highlighted that he has faced retaliation throughout his 40-year political career but has consistently overcome it with the support of the people. The High Court's temporary relief for Siddaramaiah, which postponed further proceedings, has not swayed his resolve.
