New Delhi: A day after assuming office as Delhi's Chief Minister, Atishi visited the historic Hanuman temple at Connaught Place on Tuesday. She prayed for blessings to guide her administration and ensure the return of Arvind Kejriwal to the CM's position after the Assembly elections.
Speaking to reporters, Atishi emphasized the role of Lord Hanuman in safeguarding the AAP government and its leader from adversaries over the past two years. She stated, "I sought the blessings of Lord Hanuman, our 'sankatmochan,' to continue serving the people of Delhi and help bring back Arvind Kejriwal as Chief Minister."
During her visit, the temple's chief priest applied a 'tilak' on Atishi's forehead, and she recited the Hanuman Chalisa and offered holy water to the Shivlinga. Atishi later shared details of her visit on her 'X' handle, reaffirming her commitment to the people of Delhi amid challenges faced by the AAP government.
