Tim Walz and JD Vance Set for Clash in Sole VP Debate Before Election
Democrat Tim Walz and Republican JD Vance will participate in the only scheduled vice presidential debate on Oct. 1 in New York City. Democrat Tim Walz and Republican JD Vance are set to face off next week in the only scheduled U.S. vice presidential debate. This debate offers each candidate a platform to reinforce their running mate's message to voters, just weeks ahead of the Nov. 5 election.
The 90-minute debate, hosted by CBS News, will take place on Oct. 1 at 9 p.m. ET in New York City. Moderators for the event are CBS "Evening News" anchor Norah O'Donnell and "Face the Nation" moderator Margaret Brennan.
The debate will be broadcast on the CBS network and live-streamed on multiple platforms, including CBS News 24/7 and Paramount+. CBS has also confirmed that the event will be available for simulcast.
