Iran's President Accuses Israel of Seeking Wider Middle East Conflict
Iran’s president accused Israel of attempting to escalate the conflict in the Middle East. He highlighted recent events such as deadly explosions of electronic devices in Lebanon and the assassination of Hamas' political leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran as evidence of Israel's intent.
Iran's president charged Israel with trying to broaden the war in the Middle East on Monday, alleging the nation is setting 'traps' to draw Iran into an extended conflict.
Masoud Pezeshkian, addressing about two dozen media representatives, stated that Iran aims to prevent the expansion of the current war in Gaza and the cross-border airstrikes between Israel and Lebanon.
While Israel claims it does not desire a more extensive war, Pezeshkian argued that its actions, such as last week's deadly explosions involving electronic devices in Lebanon and the assassination of Hamas' political leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran, suggest otherwise.
