Senior Congress leader Nana Patole on Wednesday criticized the central government's discrimination in fund allocation, particularly between Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh.
At a party review meeting attended by senior leaders and workers from Chandrapur, Gadchiroli, Bhandara, and Gondia, Patole alleged the Centre had provided Rs 4,000 crore to the Andhra Pradesh government while farmers in Maharashtra suffer significant crop losses.
He further alleged that the Central government has avoided holding local body elections for the last three years and pointed out corruption in the state's Mahayuti government, citing the collapse of the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj statue in Sindhudurg district.
