In a strong-worded statement, West Bengal BJP General Secretary and MLA Agnimitra Paul castigated Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for showing a continuous lack of respect towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Paul accused Banerjee of failing to recognize Modi's contribution to the upcoming American investment in West Bengal's semiconductor sector.
According to Paul, Mamata Banerjee has not once expressed appreciation for the Prime Minister's significant steps towards the economic upliftment of the state. Despite Modi's efforts to bring forward a major development project aimed at boosting Bengal's growth, Mamata has refused to publicly acknowledge his role, claiming credit for herself instead.
Meanwhile, Mamata Banerjee, in a post on X, underscored her government's involvement in facilitating the international investment decision announced by the President of the USA and PM Modi. She detailed the relentless efforts by state departments and the successful promotion of West Bengal's capacity to attract investment in the semiconductor sector.
