Arvind Kejriwal, the national convener of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), sharply criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government at the Centre during a roadshow in Haryana's Sirsa district on Monday. He accused them of trying to 'break' him by imprisoning him in a 'fake' case and pressuring him to join the NDA.
Kejriwal, who recently resigned as the chief minister of Delhi after his release from Tihar Jail, claimed that the BJP's actions were driven by fear of his honesty. 'They stopped my medicines and denied me insulin, endangering my health,' he revealed, asserting that his imprisonment was a tactic to tarnish his image. 'However, the people of Delhi see me as 'kattar imandar' (fiercely honest),' he added.
While campaigning in Dabwali for party candidate Kuldeep Singh, Kejriwal promised free electricity and criticized the incumbent BJP government for high electricity costs and poor infrastructure. He urged voters to support AAP for genuine development, reiterating that no party has achieved as much as AAP in states like Delhi and Punjab.
