In a fiery address, Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren has launched a scathing attack on BJP leaders, alleging that a dozen chief ministers along with the Prime Minister and Union Home Minister are targeting him to remove him from his position. In a bid to highlight financial grievances, Soren demanded Rs 1.36 lakh crore in dues or at least its interest from the Centre, promising to increase financial aid under the 'Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Maiyan Samman Yojana' (JMMSY) if the funds are returned.
Speaking at a government function in Khunti district, Soren accused BJP leaders of infiltrating Jharkhand to divide the population along religious and social lines ahead of the upcoming elections. He slammed the BJP for not aiding the poor and claimed that his government is committed to empowering villages financially, so that no family needs to resort to loans.
Adding to his criticisms, Soren addressed the recent deaths of excise constable aspirants, casting blame on faulty Covid vaccine doses, and announced a medical probe to investigate further. The CM also unveiled multiple projects valued at Rs 587 crore for the districts of Simdega and Khunti.
